2014 Operating and Capital Grants Approved for Saskatchewan Transportation Company
The Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) will receive an operating grant of $10.3 million and a capital grant of $3.3 million in 2014. This funding ensures STC has access to appropriate resources to operate its network as efficiently and as extensively as possible.
“Over the past year we made several difficult decisions, including route discontinuations, to minimize the operating grant,” said Minister Responsible for STC, Don McMorris. “As we move forward, we will continue to work diligently in order to ensure that STC’s operating grant is kept as low as possible.”
2014 will see STC continue to promote ridership and parcel services that positively impact revenues, while ensuring the organization is as efficient as possible.
