For release September 26, 2016

The Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) is extending its $15 Senior Seat Sale until October 31, 2016. Seniors aged 60 and over will now get to ride with STC for $15 one-way or $30 return plus tax for the entire month of October.

"There are so many things to see and do across our province," Minister responsible for STC, Joe Hargrave said. "By extending the STC Senior Seat Sale for another month, seniors will be able to spend more time with family and friends, including around the Thanksgiving holiday."

The Senior Seat Sales have proven to be the most successful campaigns for STC. It is a great opportunity to encourage a large market segment to try travel by bus, with the goal to inspire them to ride with STC regularly.

"We have received so much positive feedback on the Senior Seat Sale," STC President and CEO, Shawn Grice said. "We look forward to offering seniors the opportunity to experience our excellent customer service at a great price for the month of October."

The standard senior fare for a one-way trip between Regina and Saskatoon is $38.40 (plus tax). If a senior purchases the same one-way ticket in October, he or she can save over $23 dollars.

Find out more about the sale on STC’s website at or on STC’s Facebook page at Seniors can purchase sale tickets from any STC agency and must use their tickets by October 31, 2016.
